What is Word and Mouth?

Word and Mouth is a youth-focused, youth-driven organisation designed to provide opportunities for young people to be involved in their community.

Since its inception in 2003 Word and Mouth has primarily been funded by the Greater Shepparton City Council and the Sir Andrew and Lady Fairley Foundation; alongside other unique government and non-government grants.

As of the 1st October 2009, Word and Mouth become an independent organisation and now operates from an independent youth space at 53 Welsford Street Shepparton.

Who is Word and Mouth?

Word and Mouth is governed by a Board made up of young people aged 16 to 30 years as well as funding representatives.

Word and Mouth staff include an Executive Office and Project Officer who are responsible for the planning and delivery of activities and events.

An organisation like Word and Mouth needs your support to make it an indispensable part of Greater Shepparton. If you hear that Word and Mouth is holding a public forum, a formal fundraising night, or a festival... come along and support your peers.

All Word and Mouth events are created and promoted by youth, for youth.
